The New Hampshire Heritage Trail is a 230 mile trail that traverses the length of the state from Massachusetts to Canada.  The Purpose of the Heritage Trail is to connect the diverse landscapes and communities along the Merrimack, Pemigewasset, and Connecticut River watersheds.  The Heritage Trail will serve as a continuing story of the state’s rich and unique history, natural resources, and culture.  If you would like to get your community involved, action can begin in a variety of ways – through individual citizens, town planning commissions, schools, and local conservation commissions, to name a few.  If you would like more information on how to get started with trail development in your community, please call Jennifer Codispoti at the Bureau of Trails, 603-271-3254, for assistance.
